Program Profile

New Start is a 10-week initiative that operates Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 3:00 pm, for a total of 375.0 curriculum hours. Daily lunches are provided at no cost to participants along with financial support for needs-based expenses that assist participants in attending and completing the curriculum, participating in job search activities, and obtaining and maintaining employment. All individuals enrolled in the New Start program are either presently incarcerated in a work release center or recently released from incarceration and meet the federal definition of low income.

  • Technology Training 

  • Financial Literacy Education

  • Certified Parenting Course 

  • Conflict Resolution, Stress and Anger Management 

  • Forklift Operator Safety certification

  • Flagger certification

  • OSHA certification

  • ServSafe certification

  • Grounds Maintenance certification

  • Resume Preparation; Interviewing Skills; Job Search Assistance
